  • Are You Looking for a Job that is Fun & Rewarding?

    Kid Chess is growing and needs to hire more Chess instructors! We are the largest chess instruction program in the Southeast. The majority of our schools are located throughout the North Metro Atlanta suburbs, but we also have programs in some Atlanta City Schools (inside I-285). We always try to send our instructors to the schools that are most convenient for them. Our classes have low student-teacher ratios, and our instructors work on teams with an average of 5 coaches with large groups of students.

    We offer our employees:

    • Paid training;
    • Very competitive hourly wage (starting at $15 per hour and more for those who are very well-qualified);
    • Simple IRA (Available after 2 years of consistent employment);
    • Access to free chess events and classes;
    • A wonderful job experience!

  • career-photo-01Most of our available positions are part-time (approx. 13-14hrs/wk) and in the afternoon (approx. 2-5pm). However, full-time positions are possible for highly-qualified candidates. While we are always interested in strong chess players, we also plan to hire several support instructors who have a basic understanding of the game and are excellent with children. For all candidates, the key characteristics that we are looking for are child-friendly, team-oriented, and reliable.

    career-photo-02Did we mention that this job is fun and rewarding? Our instructors enjoy afternoons surrounded by great children who love chess and are eager to improve, as well as belong to a company filled with talented, smart, energetic, and fun people with diverse interests and backgrounds. Kid Chess’ success comes from all of these great people working together as a team to provide the best experiences possible for our students and for each other.

    ***All candidates must have reliable transportation and pass a full criminal background check.

    Please take a moment to meet our current instructors.
