About Kid Chess™
At Kid Chess™, kids come first. We have been teaching chess to kids in Metro Atlanta area schools and in our Marietta East Cobb facility for several years. Each class is managed by two chess instructors – all of whom are top-rated chess players. Each of our chess instructors pass in-depth background checks and they are trained to make chess fun! (To see who they are, please click here.) Each kid receives a trophy and learns how to be a better chess player and a better student. To assist you, we've prepared a brief 1 minute video that you can watch to get a sense of what our program is about. To view it, please click here, or click on the blue-knight graphic above.
Chess Makes Kids Smart
Playing chess has proven to help students enhance their creativity, improve their power of concentration, develop and expand critical thinking skills, boost memory and retention, and achieve superior academic performance. Additionally, chess has been shown to augment problem-solving capabilities, provide cultural enrichment, advance intellectual maturity, and enhance self-esteem. We know that these are qualities that school administrators, parents, and teachers desire for their students. For additional information and supporting research, please click here.
