If you like the Kid Chess "Fun With Chess" afterschool program, you will LOVE the Kid Chess Summer Camps!

Just because the summer is here and school is out doesn't mean you have to stop playing chess.

As a matter of fact, we have found that kids who continue to play chess through the summer have a leg-up on the rest of the class when chess resumes in the fall.

Learn How to WIN: With the large amount of instruction offered, campers can improve their chess skills dramatically in just one week.

Have Lots of Fun: Camps feature a variety of activities which include: Regular Chess, Bughouse Chess, Blitz Chess, Blindfolded Chess, & Obstacle courses. Several chances to play top instructors, lots of play.

Win Trophies: Every camper wins at least one trophy with the opportunity to win several more. Each camper gets a T-shirt and a Scorepad.

This year, we are offering four summer camps:

June 5th-9th, June 26th-30th, July 24th-28th at Chess Place (East Cobb County),

July 17th-21st, at Findley Oaks Elementary (North Fulton / Alpharetta)

Our camps feature flexible scheduling. You can participate for the Full Day (9am-5pm) or Morning only (9am-1pm), or Afternoon only (1pm-5pm).

Pricing: All Day w/Lunch $279, All Day w/o Lunch $260, Morning only w/Lunch $175, Morning only w/o Lunch $155, Afternoon only w/o Lunch  $155

Chess Place April Elementary School Open

The morning tournament is from 9:15 AM to 12:30 PM, and the afternoon tournament is from 1:15 PM to 4:30 PM. The morning tournament is bughouse (partner chess), and the afternoon tournament is regular chess. If you play in the bughouse tournament, we strongly recommend that you choose a bughouse partner to register with, however, if you cannot find a partner, we will try to find one for you.

The entry fee for either tournament is $25, and if you register for both, it is only $40. Trophies will be awarded to all kids with a break-even score. Every participant will receive at least a medal. We strongly recommend you register well in advance, as we anticipate both tournaments will fill up. We definitely will be unable to accept walkup registrations on the day of the tournament.
